 WELCOME BACK!!!

I hope that this Web Message finds students, parents and staff well rested from a wonderful summer vacation.  It is hard to believe that another school year is already upon us.  I am even more amazed that I am celebrating my 12^h year at Covert School. 

Please check the school calendar for various activities/events in which our students will participate.  Aside from the“typical” activities, our children are involved in a myriad of special events including, “Mr. C’s Circus Night,” “Literacy Week,” “Olympics,” “Mad Hot Ballroom,” and “Variety Show 2011”  Our School Theme for the year is “Smile-You’re on Covert Camera!”- “Creating Stars of the Future!”

Please join us for our first PTA Meeting on Wednesday, September 15 at 7:30 PM and for “Back-To-School Night,” on Tuesday, September 28 @ 7:00 PM.  “Back-To-School Night” will give you an opportunity to meet the Covert Staff and to hear about all of the wonderful things that your children will be learning throughout the school year.  In addition, I will be laying out my Professional Goals and those for our school. A Video Presentation highlighting the first few weeks of school, along with staff photos will be shown.

I look forward to seeing you!  Covert is such a great place!!!!!  As we continue our journey together let’s never loose sight of the fact that we have something very special at Covert!
