IMPORTANT LUNCH DEPARTMENT INFORMATION!

The following items that are served in school kitchens will contain sesame:

All deli and sandwich rolls

Muffins

Hamburger and Hotdog buns do not contain sesame however, they are produced in a facility in which sesame is present

Maple Leaf ImageThe Nutrition Services department is made up of a team of food and nutrition professionals that are dedicated to students' health, well being and their ability to learn. We support learning by promoting healthy habits for lifelong nutrition and fitness practices.


Meals, foods and beverages sold or served at schools meet state and federal requirements which are based on the USDA Dietary Guidelines. We provide students with access to a variety of affordable and appealing foods that meet the health and nutrition needs of students.

 

In order to be eligible for other district programs that are dependent upon Free and Reduced Lunch eligibility, families are advised to continue to fill out and submit Free and Reduced meal applications. The easiest way to apply is through the this link to MySchoolApps Online Free & Reduced Meal Application.

Lunch price for the 2023-2024 school year is $3.50. Breakfast price for 2023-2024 is $2.75 (HS & MS only)  Students will need to have funds in their My School Bucks account (or in person) to purchase a meal and/or a la carte items (chips, cookies, specialty drinks, etc) Our website also provides a quick link to the My School Bucks website.

 

Accommodating Students with Disabilities, Food Allergies & Medically Prescribed Diets

Substitutions for a meal or meal component to accommodate the special dietary needs of a student will be made when that need is certified in writing by a physician or state licensed healthcare professional

The medical statement must include:

Information about the student's impairment and how it restricts the student's diet

An explanation of what must be done to accommodate the needs of the student

The food(s) to be omitted and recommended alternatives, if appropriate

Medical statements should be sent to your student's school nurse.  Additionally, please call or email the Department of Food Services to discuss specific meal plans for your student

Food Preferences (e.g. preferring a gluten free diet for perceived health benefit) are not accommodated. Parent/Guardians are encouraged to accommodate all food preferences by sending their student with meals and snacks from home.
