Finance Advisory Committee - Community Volunteers Sought

 

The Rockville Centre Board of Education is seeking qualified community members to serve on a newly established Finance Advisory Committee.

The committee will advise the Board of Education on the development of a Five-Year Financial Plan and a Five-Year Capital Plan. Two committee members will also be appointed to serve on the Board's Audit Committee.

Individuals with experience in public finance highly preferred; finance, accounting, architecture, or physical plant management are encouraged to apply.

Applicants must have no direct or indirect financial interest in District contracts, no immediate relatives employed by the District or serving as District officers, and must complete a Confidentiality Disclosure Form.

In accordance with Board Policy 1321, the Board President, in coordination with District administration, will oversee the recruitment and screening process and nominate candidates for approval by the full Board of Education.
